Partner Code 128979 for AvaTrade: The Real Story
Someone asks me about partner codes every couple of weeks. Always the same thing: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Short answer: no. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's the cost. A partner code doesn't change that.
Code 128979 unlocks the deposit bonus. Additional trading capital depending on your deposit. Nothing more complicated than that.
What's the bonus amount?
Deposit $1,000 and get $200.
Deposit $2,000 for $400 bonus.
$5,000 to $9,999 adds $1,000.
Deposit $100,000+ and you can get up to $14,000. Most people won't hit that.
British traders get £160 bonus on £800 deposits. Goes to £11,200 at the top.
Account minimum is $100. Minimum for any bonus is $1,000.
The field is hidden
When you're signing up. After you enter your phone number, look for small text that says "Have a Partner Code?" with an arrow next to it. Click the arrow. The field expands. Type **128979**.
Most people miss it because it doesn't look like a proper form field until you click.
If you see an error, it's fine. Finish signing up. Message your account manager before you deposit. Ask them to add code 128979. They handle this regularly.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
There's a volume requirement.
About 10,000 units for every dollar of bonus. A $200 bonus means trading 2,000,000 units before that $200 avatrade partner code 128979 unlocks. Slower if you're trading micro lots. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your deposit is yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. The bonus stays locked until you hit the volume.
Worth mentioning: while the bonus is locked, it still counts toward your margin. This lets you take bigger positions. For someone still learning, that buffer can keep you in the game long enough to figure things out.
